Shady's back, tell your friends.

Why hello! 

I know I've been gone forever. As in, four months... which, honestly feels way longer.
See, I'm not much of an impersonal talker. I hate the phone and emails and anything that is not face-to-face. That's why I've pasted my mug above. See, now it's personal, right? We can start a real conversation here?

Good. Here's my second reason for being gone:

I'm selling myself. Not my body, nothing weird. But my brand is me, in a way. Everything I say and do becomes about making you know me and my little handmade business. And this past season has been a time to reflect on who/what that is and will be. I didn't want to go on blogging about my life if I wasn't representing myself well. Looking back though, I am still who I was when I was writing. I just have some fresh ideas and feel less tired.

There will be some changes at kay.em.kay this year. One being that I will soon be releasing baby clothing. The other is that I hope to, by the end of 2013, open a housewares shop with a mix of vintage and handmade items. All the while, gearing up to move across the U.S. AGAIN to Loiusville, KY. (That's not set in stone, but John's applying for seminary there.)

So, hi. Good to see you and catch up. Let's do this again soon.
